Capstone Turbine Corporation Model C65 Hybrid UPS User’s Manual 2.1.2. Using a PC with CRMS NOTE: The default user port user password is set to USR123P; the user can change it by using the Capstone Remote Monitoring Software on a computer connected to the UPS Controller. In the event of a lost user password, your Capstone Authorized Service Provider can reset the user password to this default. Capstone Remote Monitoring Software (CRMS), installed on a PC, can be connected to each Hybrid UPS system through the UPS Controller. The UPS Controller includes an Ethernet switch with industry standard 10BaseT Ethernet ports for connection to each Hybrid UPS. To monitor a Hybrid UPS system connected to the UPS Controller, plug a PC with CRMS into an available port on the Ethernet switch. To establish communication, enter the IP address of the SEC on the Hybrid UPS into CRMS. The IP address should be provided at commissioning. If not available, contact your Authorized Service Provider. The PC can be a laptop that is temporarily connected, or it can be any PC on a network that is connected to the UPS Controller's Ethernet switch. Refer to the UPS Controller User Manual (400028) for the location of the Ethernet switch. 2.2. Microturbine Features The various features of the Capstone Microturbine are listed below:  A state-of-the-art digital power controller with built-in protective relay functions provides two output choices: o UtilityInput(AC) o LoadOutput(AC) o ExternalEnergyStorage(DC)  Patented air bearings eliminate the need for oil or other liquid lubricants.  Air-cooled design of the entire system (turbine and controller) eliminates the need for liquid coolants.  The engine has only one moving part. No gears, belts, or turbine-driven accessories.  Advanced combustion control eliminates the need for ceramics or for other costly materials or for catalytic combustion, and provides ultra-low emissions.  The integral annular recuperator (heat exchanger) doubles thermal efficiency.  Digital control technology facilitates advanced control or Ethernet monitoring, and diagnostic capabilities, both on-board and remotely. 400027 Rev B (August 2013) Page 17 of 71 Capstone reserves the right to change or modify, without notice, the design, specifications, and/or contents of this document without incurring any obligation either with respect to equipment previously sold or in the process of construction.
