2011 Internal Fault INV IGBT NEUT DPC Sensed Inverter Neutral IGBT Failure System Severity Level 5 This fault is declared when the DPC Control Board senses a a malfunction of the Inverter Neutral Leg Isolated Gate Bipolar Transistor (IGBT) module. Recommended Spare Parts • Digital Power Controller (DPC) Symptom Probable Cause Analysis Repair Solution Neutral IGBT Fault Status indicates fault Ground Wiring Refer to the Installation Manual for proper grounding configuration. Correct electrical wiring configuration Shorted Load Verify the external loads do not have a phase to neutral or phase to ground shorted. Disconnect loads and start the system in the Stand Alone mode. Fix problem with the loads Inverter IGBT Shorted Measure the resistance from DC (+) to each leg of the IGBT, and from each leg to DC (-) to determine if a short circuit exists. Check internal diodes in IGBT module. Also, refer the Troubleshooting A Micro- Turbine That Does Not Wake Up section. Replace DPC BCT IBT Shorted Refer to the Troubleshooting A Micro- Turbine That Does Not Wake Up section. Refer to the Trouble- shooting A Micro- Turbine That Does Not Wake Up section. 2012 Internal Fault BRAKE FAILED Brake Failure System Severity Level 6 This fault is used to declare an error condition in the brake resistor in the IGBT module. This fault is declared if the power balance (generator power - inverter power - battery power - brake power) is greater than 15 kW (power imbalance factor). Symptom Probable Cause Analysis Repair Solution Brake Over- temperature Too Many Offloads Generator power output is dissipated through the brake resistor during offloads, and consecutive cycles will result in a brake overtemperature. Size loads to prevent frequent cycling Failed Brake Resistor Damage to Brake Resistor Measure resistance of brake resistor across BRK+ and BRK- terminals on DPC Power Board. It should be between 18 and 22 Ohms.
