Capstone Turbine Corporation • 21211 Nordhoff Street • Chatsworth • CA 91311 • USA Application Guide: C200 Hazardous Location Turbine Assembly Incident Display The hazardous location controller touch screen display contains indicators and text boxes that provide system status and alert if a warning or fault incident has occurred. Figure 23 illustrates where these indicators are located on the display. The display contains multiple screens that are accessed by touching the << or >> buttons to select the previous or next screen. The incident indicators are on the home screen and the data screen for a specific turbine. These indicators are described as follows: • Redundant Fan Alm. (Pressure Transmitter): o Green – Normal: The redundant fan pressure transmitter indicates that both pressurization blowers are working normally. o Yellow – Warning Incident: The redundant fan pressure transmitter indicates that one of the blowers is supplying less pressure than required or has failed. • Enclosure Press. Alm. (Pressure Switch): o Green–Normal:Pressurefromblowersintheenclosureisnormal. o Red – Fault Incident: The pressure switch has issued a fault to the turbine due to loss of pressure in the enclosure. This indicates either a large opening has developed in the package (doors are open) or the blowers have been de-energized. Fix the cause of the pressure loss before attempting to operate the turbine. • Engine Air Filter Alm. (Pressure Transmitter): o Green – Normal: The engine air filter pressure transmitter indicates that the air filter is in good condition. o Yellow – Warning Incident: The engine air filter pressure transmitter indicates that the air filter needs to be replaced. • Gas Det 1 Alarm: o Green – Normal: Combustible gas levels are safe for operation. Gas detector #1 is sensing that combustible gas levels in the enclosure are below the Lower Explosive Limit (LEL) setpoint. o Red – Fault Incident: Gas detector #1 is sensing that combustible gas levels in the enclosure are above the fault LEL setpoint and has issued a fault signal to the turbine. The turbine assembly will shut down or fail to start. Do not attempt to operate the turbine until the cause of the high gas level is fixed. • Gas Det 1 Failure: o Green–Normal:Gasdetector#1isoperatingnormally. o Red–FaultIncident:Gasdetector#1hasfailed. 480047 Rev.
