Power Bay Communications Bay The DMC connections are all located inside the DMC cabinet. The horizontal terminal blocks are numbered left to right. Dual Mode Controller Cabinet DMC Terminal Blocks 1. 2. Total real power required by the protected loads must not exceed the combined MicroTurbine power rating. (Consult the Model 330 Product Data Sheet for capacity ratings at local ambient temperature and elevation.) Total load demand for the protected loads must not exceed 24 kW per MicroTurbine in the Stand Alone mode. Installation Connection Locations The MicroTurbine power connections are located in the Power Bay on the rear of the MicroTurbine. All other connections are located in the Communications Bay. There are 5 terminal blocks oriented vertically on the printed circuit board in the Communications Bay. The terminal blocks are numbered 1 through 5 (left to right). MicroTurbine User Connection Bay (UCB) Installation The DMC must be mounted within 100 feet of the MicroTurbine(s). Mounting holes are provided in the back of the DMC cabinet. Power Wiring The AC power wiring for the DMC is shown in the Power Wiring Diagram. Connecting the MicroTurbine The MicroTurbine output must be connected to the terminals as detailed. A fused disconnect or circuit breaker must be installed between the DMC and the MicroTurbine, consistent with local electrical codes. Refer to the following table for power wire sizing for various Dual Mode Controllers. The MicroTurbine output phase sequence is L1-L2-L3. Connecting the Protected Loads The protected loads must be connected to the terminals as detailed. Refer to the table for power wire gauge sizes for various Dual Mode Controllers. The selection of loads to include as protected loads should not exceed the capacity of the MicroTurbine(s) operating under local ambient conditions. The protected loads should not exceed any of the following parameters: MicroTurbine Terminal Blocks DMC Instructions 4 510183 E
