Capstone Turbine Corporation • 21211 Nordhoff Street • Chatsworth • CA 91311 • USA Capstone Gas Pack: Technical Reference Operating Environment The Gas Pack is capable of operating under the following ambient conditions: • Ambient Pressure Range: 8.7 to 15 psia (60 to 103 kPa absolute) • Ambient Temperature Range: Refer to Table 6 Table 6. Ambient Temperature Range Ambient Temperature Gas Pack State 14 to 122 °F (-10 to 50 °C) - 4 to 14 °F (-20 to -10 °C) OK to start even if Gas Pack was not energized prior to Cold Start attempt. OK to start if Gas Pack has had continuous AC or DC power. Do not apply power to an un-energized Gas Pack if ambient temperature is below 14 °F (-10 °C). Storage Environment The Gas Pack is capable of being stored in an ambient environment as follows: • Storage Temperature: -4 to 122 °F (-20 to 50 °C) • Storage Pressure: 1.7 to 15 psia (12 to 103 kPa absolute) Physical Characteristics • The Gas Pack utilizes terminal blocks for both power and communication signals. • The Gas Pack utilizes 1-inch female National Pipe Thread (NPT) connection on the fuel inlet port, and 3/4-inch female NPT connection on the fuel outlet port. • The Gas Pack (both AC and DC versions) weight is about 420 lbs (190 kg) including the Mounting Frame, Heat Deflector, Stiffeners, and fasteners. The outlet fuel kit weighs about 30 lbs (14 kg), and the skirt assembly weights about 85 lbs (39 kg). • Physical dimensions for the Gas Pack itself are approximately 40 inches (1010 mm) high by 25 inches (635 mm) deep by 38 inches (960 mm) wide. • Refer to O&I drawings 522100 and 522101 for details. 410058 Rev A (September 2007) Page 11 of 12 Capstone reserves the right to change or modify, without notice, the design, specifications, and/or contents of this document without incurring any obligation either with respect to equipment previously sold or in the process of construction.
